1. What are your goals for your photography business?
Our goal for Mr & Mrs Rich is to create timeless, authentic, and emotive imagery that tells the unique story of each couple, family, or individual. We strive to capture those intimate moments that truly encapsulate the essence of each person, and create a visual legacy that they can cherish for generations to come.
2. What key 3 things helped you grow in your photography?
The three key things that have helped us grow in our photography are our commitment to authenticity, our focus on building strong relationships with our clients, and our continuous pursuit of artistic growth and development. By staying true to our own vision and style, fostering meaningful connections with our clients, and constantly challenging ourselves to improve our craft, we have been able to build a thriving business that brings us immense joy and fulfillment.
3. Can you walk us through your planning process for one of these photoshoots?
In general, when planning a photoshoot, our process always begins with getting to know our clients on a personal level. We want to understand their unique story, their personalities, and their vision for the shoot. From this point, we work closely with them to develop a concept that truly speaks to their individuality, incorporating elements that are meaningful and significant to them. For these photo sessions and our client work we always pay close attention to details such as location, lighting, wardrobe, and props, all while keeping in mind the overall mood and tone of the shoot. It all starts from brainstorming ideas and putting together mood boards, working on a shot list and connecting all elements to see a clear picture of what we will be working with. On the day of the shoot, we aim to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, allowing our clients to feel at ease and fully present in the moment. We guide them with gentle prompts and direction, capturing those genuine, natural interactions that truly tell their story.
4. Can you explain what it is like being a husband and wife team in your business? In your opinion, what have been the advantages and disadvantages?
Being a husband and wife team in our business has been an incredible experience. We share a deep connection and understanding, both personally and professionally, which allows us to work seamlessly together and create a truly cohesive vision for each project. We are able to provide our clients with a unique perspective and approach, bringing together our individual strengths and talents to create a truly exceptional experience. I truly cannot think of any challenges that come with working closely together. We believe that every possible misunderstanding can be resolved if it is navigated with open communication, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to our vision.
